A Director’s Guide to turning Ghosts of Draconizica into a song.

The song was not inspired by the picture, the picture is merely to illustrate this post and help you better visualize the space dragons (even if those aren’t space dragons in that picture).

A Director’s Guide to turning Ghosts of Draconizica into a song.

NOTES ON THE LANGUAGE

Translation from Dragon language will be coming soon. It is spoken in the three of eight dragon languages, with Hymnody being the primary language. Hymnody consists of strange dragon-like words and, like Latin, is a dead language to modern dragons. Drakaner consists of written words with no spaces and can only be understood by hearing it being spoken. Ususo (spoken only once with the lines Haarrrrraaannnn Tsu) consists of harmonizing with high and low pitches forming a song-word that only dragons will understand. When written, some phrases need to be written out like as if they were sung. Example: Mysteraaaaaaaaaaaa Syufeeennn. It is written that way to match the harmonizing.

LETS BEGIN
Needs: distorted electric guitar, mandolin, piano, orchestra, keyboard accompaniment and distorted sounds, and lastly a choir (5 sets, ten to fifteen people in each set. Set 1 sings Stanza 1 in harmony, but steadily keep the dark mood and sense of mounting trouble flowing. Set 2 sings the lesser chant of Stanza 2 in harmony with the chant of Set 1 with the same mood as Set 1. Set 3 should sing low, in the language of Drakener with no pause until the end (this is called an ongoing chant). Set 3 should not follow Set 1 and 2. if possible, SET 3 should be half children.

———–_____\\\\\\——–

(This part is the main of the song with no accompaniment from the choir until later. This part is spoken in the tongue of humans. English. Whispering is preferred.)

Finding your way back, there is nowhere else to go

Dragonborn of the barren wasteland, keep things cool and tight

Descendant of the flying creatures know no nobility

Free will dictates those without wings

And leads one down a certain path

Swiveling, churning, don’t wander too far about

Look upon the eyes of evil and brush it away

In anyone’s face, those with wings always succeed

Summon the soul from the deep of your body

Those with wings always come forthward

(change in singer’s tone): I will come back for you

To find me and myself that has wandered off, ah

(whispering tone): Back and forth until time ends

Those with wings are never done roaming

Finding themselves amongst the rubble that will never flourish

Dragonborn of stars will find the deepness in your meaning

Nevermore will the hatchlings wander in confusion

(After the main singer has done her (or their) part, this is where the “trouble” part comes into play. The choir comes back in. SET 1 and 2 sing at the same time like in the first part of the song, and soon SET 3 joins in to ante-up the tension.)

SET 1: Vix lòusmên vos ken derada.

Vix lòusmên vos ken estress. Vix lòusmên vos ken derada.

Vix lòusmên vos ken estress.

I am who is in your heart

I am who is in the back of your head, collecting dust

Just hidden in all your mathematical ploys and cheap faces

Die Drachen Doppleganger

A dream you will never live, then you will see what you’ve done

Then will you truly believe

For Charlesbraun is here
